Hard-to-Recycle Day

Come drop off your hard-to-recycle items at our Hard-to-Recycle Day and fill up your reusable container at our Zero Waste Refill Station as part of EAS+Y Earth Action Month in April! Our Zero Waste Refill Station will allow you to bring your own container to buy bulk laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and general cleaner. We will be accepting donations for hard-to-recycle items and a fee for refills.

Here's what we are currently accepting at our hard-to-recycle day (check back for updates!):

1. Large pieces of styrofoam (no peanuts please)
2. Baby food pouches (emptied)
3. Used or unused candle wax (no glass)
4. Used beauty products (emptied and rinsed): Shampoo bottles and caps; Conditioner bottles and caps; Hair gel tubes and caps; Hair spray bottles and triggers; Hair paste plastic jars and caps; Lip balm tubes; Face soap dispensers and tubes; Lotion bottles, tubes, dispensers, and jars; Shaving foam tubes (no cans); Lip gloss tubes; Mascara tubes; Eye liner pencils and cases; Eye Shadow tubes; Concealer tubes and sticks
5. Toothpaste tubes & toothbrushes (emptied)
6. Nail polish and nail polish remover
7. Mascara wands (separated from tubes)
8. CDs & DVDS (no jewel cases please; CDs & DVDs can be whole or broken)
9. Used markers
10. Crayons
11. Wine corks (cork only, no plastic)
12. Eye Glasses
13. Plastic Bags, Plastic Film, & Plastic Packaging Envelopes (Sticker removed - full plastic ones only - all plastic film, bags, and packaging must be clean)
14. Printer ink & toner cartridges (intact, not broken/leaking)
15. Household batteries - alkaline & rechargeable (no leaking or bubbling)
